Real Estate Across San Bernardino County
San Bernardino County is the largest county by area in the contiguous United States. Its 24 incorporated cities and towns range from the West Valley cities of Chino Hills, Chino, Ontario, and Rancho Cucamonga to the East Valley, the mountain resort city of Big Bear Lake, the High Desert, and the Colorado River city of Needles. Miamar Realty helps buyers, sellers, and sellers throughout the county from our office in La Mirada.
Each area has its own kind of housing: master-planned neighborhoods in Ontario Ranch and Rancho Cucamonga, historic homes in Redlands and Upland, hillside homes in Chino Hills, cabins in Big Bear Lake, and larger lots in Apple Valley, Hesperia, and Yucca Valley. Our city guides cover what to know in each.

A Quick Guide to San Bernardino County's Areas
West San Bernardino Valley: Chino, Chino Hills, Montclair, Ontario, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, and Rialto. Expect a mix of historic homes in Upland, hillside neighborhoods in Chino Hills, and large master-planned areas in Ontario Ranch, Rancho Cucamonga, and north Fontana, many with HOAs and special taxes.
East San Bernardino Valley: San Bernardino, Colton, Grand Terrace, Highland, Loma Linda, Redlands, and Yucaipa. Redlands is known for its historic Victorian and Craftsman homes, while Highland and Yucaipa include foothill and larger-lot properties.
San Bernardino Mountains: Big Bear Lake‘s cabins and mountain homes come with snow, wildfire insurance, and short-term rental rules to consider.
High Desert: Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley, Adelanto, and Barstow offer newer tract homes, larger lots, and some horse property. Owned vs. leased solar and septic systems are common items to check.
Morongo Basin & Colorado River: Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms, near Joshua Tree National Park, and Needles on the Colorado River. Rural lots, wells, and septic are typical.
